HISTORY
The journey of the BPIE Group began in the year 2003 with the establishment of its first institution, Bishnupur Public School. In 2004, the Foundation expanded into teacher education with the establishment of Bishnupur Public PTTI, a composite B.Ed college, at Ramanandanagar, Chougan.
In 2006, Bishnupur Public School was shifted to its new and spacious campus at Ramanandanagar, which gradually emerged as a prominent educational hub. The school now functions as a Higher Secondary English medium institution affiliated with the Government of West Bengal.
A significant milestone was achieved in 2010 with the establishment of the Bishnupur Public Institute of Engineering at Shiromonipur. This multipurpose Diploma Engineering College, comprising over 1,800 students and more than 160 qualified faculty members, plays a vital role in shaping technical education in the Bankura district. The institute offers programmes in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. In recognition of its superior infrastructure, the institute was awarded Best Infrastructure by AICTE on 27th June 2015.
Further expansion followed in 2014 with the establishment of Bishnupur Public Institute of Education at Saradagram near Shiromonipur, catering to teacher education with a student strength of 100. In 2015, the group also initiated the Bishnupur Public Industrial Training Institute (ITI) at Shiromonipur.
The year 2015 also marked the beginning of Bishnupur Heritage School (CBSE) at the Barnaparichay campus near Chougan. The school achieved CBSE affiliation in 2020 and stands as a proud milestone in the Foundation’s two-decade-long educational journey.
In 2016, the group further strengthened teacher education by establishing Bishnupur Mallabhum B.Ed College and Bishnupur Public B.Ed College.
Thus, the BPIE Group gradually took shape under the following four registered societies:
